Central AC, Ductless & Heat Pumps For Halton Homes

We specialize in air conditioning and heat pump solutions designed specifically for residential homes. Whether you're upgrading to a more efficient system, replacing outdated equipment, or just trying to keep what you have running smoothly, our expert team is here to help, and we'll do it without trying to sell you something you don't need.

Central Air Conditioning

Central AC done right delivers consistent cooling to every corner of your home, not just the rooms closest to the air handler. We install systems that match the actual cooling load of your home, paired with properly sized ductwork and balanced airflow.

  • 13 to 22 SEER central AC units from Rheem, Lennox, Carrier, Daikin and more
  • Manual J load calculation on every install
  • Refrigerant line set replacement when condensers age out
  • Outdoor pad, electrical disconnect and condensate handled
  • Smart thermostat compatibility and setup

Cold-Climate Heat Pumps

Heat pumps don't generate heat, they transfer it, in or out of your home depending on the season, making them one of the most energy-efficient options available. Modern cold-climate units work efficiently down to about −25°C, which covers the great majority of Halton winter hours. We typically configure them as a hybrid alongside your existing furnace: the heat pump handles 80%+ of heating hours on cheaper electricity, and the gas furnace only kicks in on the coldest nights.

The rebate math works out well too. Between Canada Greener Homes and provincial incentives, homeowners often see thousands back on the installed price.

Ductless Mini-Splits

If you have an addition, finished attic, garage suite or single hot room that no amount of damper-adjusting will fix, a ductless mini-split is usually the right answer. (Some homeowners search for "ductless mini split" without the hyphen; same thing.) One outdoor unit can serve up to four indoor heads, each on its own thermostat. We install and service Mitsubishi, Daikin, LG and Fujitsu ductless mini-split systems across Oakville, Burlington and the rest of Halton.

AC Repair & Maintenance In Oakville

Same-day air conditioning repair in Oakville and Halton during business hours. Comprehensive maintenance programs include routine checkups, filter changes and detailed inspections to catch small issues before they turn into costly repairs. If your AC is making strange noises, freezing up, or not cooling at all, we can usually diagnose during a single visit. Common AC repair calls we run:

  • Refrigerant top-ups and leak detection
  • Compressor and capacitor replacement
  • Coil cleaning (indoor and outdoor)
  • Drain line and condensate pump service
  • Pre-summer tune-ups

Why Right-Sizing Matters

An oversized AC sounds like a good idea until you live with one. It cools the air in your house too fast for its dehumidifier to work, so you end up with a 22°C house that still feels clammy. It short-cycles, wastes electricity, and the compressor wears out years earlier than it should. We size every system to your actual home.

Frequently Asked

AC & Heat Pump Questions From Halton Homeowners

How much does central AC installation cost in Oakville in 2026?

Most Halton central AC installs land between $4,200 and $8,500 installed. The range depends on tonnage (2 to 5 ton typically), SEER rating (13 to 22), and whether the line set or electrical disconnect needs replacing. We give exact pricing after a Manual J load calc on your home, see our heat pump vs AC comparison if you're weighing both.

Are cold-climate heat pumps worth it in Ontario?

Yes, modern cold-climate units (Mitsubishi Hyper-Heat, Daikin Aurora, Lennox SL25XPV) hold capacity to -15°C and continue producing heat at reduced output down to -25°C. In a hybrid setup with your existing gas furnace, the heat pump handles 80%+ of the heating hours on cheaper electricity. The Canada Greener Homes Loan offers interest-free financing up to $40,000 and the Home Renovation Savings Program adds up to $7,500 for an air-source heat pump. Full comparison here and rebate stacking guide.

What size AC do I need?

Most Halton homes need a 2 to 4-ton system. The wrong-size AC is the most common installation mistake we see, an oversized unit short-cycles, runs humid, and burns out years early. We run a Manual J load calc on every install to size correctly. Ductwork sizing matters as much as tonnage for proper cooling.

Do you service heat pumps installed by other companies?

Yes, we do warranty-out and maintenance on most major brands including Daikin, Mitsubishi, Lennox, Rheem, Carrier and LG. We service heat pumps across Halton, Mississauga, Hamilton and Brampton.

What brands of AC and heat pump do you install?

For central AC: Rheem, Lennox, Carrier, Goodman. For heat pumps: Mitsubishi Hyper-Heat (best cold-weather performance), Daikin Aurora, Lennox SL25XPV. For ductless: Mitsubishi, Daikin, LG, Fujitsu. See our certifications and team.

What is R-454B and how does it affect a 2026 AC purchase?

R-454B is the replacement refrigerant for R-410A across all new residential AC and heat pump equipment in Canada starting January 2025. It's mildly flammable (A2L safety class), which changes line-set, brazing, and leak-detection requirements at install. R-410A equipment is still being installed (limited stock) but a new R-410A unit purchased in 2026 will be on a phase-down refrigerant, future repairs will get more expensive. We're trained on both, ask us which makes sense for your install timeline.
