Emergency HVAC for commercial facilities runs on a different clock than residential. A rooftop unit failure during a restaurant lunch rush, a no-heat at a daycare in February, or a refrigerant leak at a kitchen prep area can shut a business down in hours. We dispatch within 2 to 4 hours during business hours and run an after-hours emergency line for PM-contract clients. We carry common replacement compressors, capacitors, contactors, ignition modules, gas valves and belts so most calls are one-trip repairs. Property managers and restaurant operators looking for an energy efficient HVAC contractor near them across Halton, Peel and Hamilton can keep our number on file at (905) 491-6943.
Most commercial rooftop unit (RTU) replacements in Halton fall into one of three buckets: like-for-like swap (same Carrier 48HC for same Carrier 48HC, no curb work), curb-adapter retrofit (different tonnage or brand, we fabricate a sheet-metal adapter), or full curb replacement (rare, only when the original curb has corroded). A 5-ton like-for-like swap is typically a 1-day install with crane. A 10-ton with curb adapter is 2 days. We always pull the existing roof opening to inspect for leaks below the curb before lowering the new unit, more commercial RTU jobs go bad from roof leaks under the curb than from the unit itself.
Commercial kitchen hood systems in Ontario fall under NFPA 96 and the Ontario Building Code: hood capture velocity (typically 250 to 350 FPM at the cooking line), exhaust duct welded construction with full-penetration welds (no riveted seams), 18-inch clearance to combustibles, accessible cleanout doors every 12 feet, and balanced make-up air within 90% of exhaust CFM. We've designed and installed hood systems for new restaurant builds across Halton and Peel, including grease-laden vapour systems for charbroilers and wood-fired pizza ovens. Failure to meet NFPA 96 is the most common reason new restaurants don't open on schedule, we keep ours moving.
Commercial property managers in Halton are facing a refrigerant transition window right now. R-22 has been illegal to import or manufacture in Canada since 2020, recovered stock is expensive and limited. R-410A is being phased down under the new Canadian regulations, R-454B is replacing it on new equipment from 2025 onward. If you have R-22 rooftop units (anything pre-2010 typically) we recommend planned replacement before the next big repair, not after. We'll inventory your refrigerant exposure across your portfolio for free as part of any PM-contract proposal.
